Heart to Heart Happenings Nov 2016 View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Happenings  November 2016 Hi Monica, I hope you can attend our next Eastside meeting as I won't be able to go because I will be in Cancun touring and reviewing properties for my clients. Kristina will be here and ready to see you! Also, two ladies from our group have stepped up to help the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. Please read more details on that below. Don't forget the deadline to nominate a member of our group for the Inspired Wisely Women Awards below. Please do so by Oct 31st! We have a plan for our next Adventure Outing so please read the details below and vote in our poll so we can plan for the best day to host it. Finally, I might end up with a slightly higher yearly dues fee because some people have said I need to charge more. I am thinking of $20 or $25 per year. The membership fee would cover both the Eastside and Northend meetings and it would not be a requirement to attend. Your ability to RSVP to our meetings will be disabled and if you want to participate in our other programs, it will cost more if you are not a paying member. My plan is to implement this Jan 1, 2017. It will be a regular meeting date but we will forgo our usual meeting format for a fun holiday party. Please bring a funny or unusual gift to this meeting. Please do NOT buy anything! You must bring something from your home that you want to get rid of. If you need ideas, please ask! We will start with very brief 15 second introductions, then draw numbers to pick presents and most of the meeting will be spent opening and stealing gifts.  NO MEETINGS We will NOT have a meeting for the Eastside group on Tuesday Dec 20th and we will NOT have a meeting for the Northend group on Monday Dec 26th. Monica and Kristina will be out of town for both of these dates and we figured people will want to spend time with their families for the holidays. We will resume our normal meeting schedule after the first of the year.  MEMBER OF THE MONTH This is a new offer that I am starting! We are not using our website as much as we should so I would love to offer a "Member of the Month" where you will provide me with a blog post that we can put on our website. You will have the chance to highlight your business and tell us more about what you sell/offer. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO and will remain on the site indefinitely. Your blog post will also be shared on Facebook and highlighted in our monthly newsletter as well. As an introductory offer, I will start this program for just $35!  I have 4 people signed up so far and our first article was published in September! Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County is in need of some assistance and two of our members have stepped up to help them out. Kathy Gau said that they always get things for the kids but not much for the moms. If you have something you would like to donate where the kids can shop for their mom for the holidays, please bring it with you to one of our Northend meetings. It should be new and something you would like to receive as a gift. Please dontate by Nov 28th and we will be sure to invite them to our meeting to present the items. Our next speaker is Nicole Lux Ritchie with Luxcentric on Jan 23rd, 2017 and her talk is about productivity with "Inbox Zero". After that we will welcome back Nikki Rausch The Sales Maven who will speak to us on Mar 13th, 2017 about "Buying Signals". I had an overwhelming response to extend the time we give our speakers and everyone wanted to hear more from Nikki. At our next speaker event, we will do brief 15 second commercials in order to give them more time to give their presentation! Do you have someone to recommend or a topic that you want to hear about? Let us know!  MONTHLY ADVENTURE OUTINGS Kim and Stephanie have stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. We have a poll on Meetup to gather some information about our next outing. We need to pre-purchase tickets and will need a minimum of 10 people to attend. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $25. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. We meet at the Family Pancake House in Redmond and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. There will be 1 Spotlight Table at each meeting until attendance supports an additional one. The tables are $10 and you must attend a meeting to sign up.
