REMINDER: Heart to Heart on Jan 23rd View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Reminder January 23, 2017 Hi Monica, Please keep inviting people to attend our next NORTHEND meeting where we have a great speaker to share how we can increase our productivity. More information about the meeting and our speaker below! We took an informal poll at our last NORTHEND meeting about who is interested in taking a self-defense class. We had a lot of interest so let me know if this is something you are interested in as well. Our next door neighbors at Active Martial Arts (my daughter takes classes there) would love to put something together for us so I am just waiting to hear when and how much it will cost. We will be a pilot program for them so we just have to wait for them to get an instructor set up to help us out. Also, a reminder that the venue at Shawn O'Donnell's has some changes coming up in the new year. Starting in January, the cost for the buffet will now be $18 and that includes your meal, dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. They also will no longer be able to accommodate us ordering off the regular menu unless it is a dietary necessity. We will now have a standard meal at every meeting which will be a salad bar with grilled chicken. You will be able to build your own meal and there will be a pasta salad, fruit salad and cookies as well. I had very good feedback from our last meeting so please let me know if this will be an issue for anyone moving forward. Please support our venue by purchasing the buffet when you attend! We had a suggestion offered at the meeting in December and that was to change the menu for the buffet every quarter and I decided that was a great idea. I will draw a name from one of the members who have paid their dues on Meetup and they will get to pick the dinner selection in March! I had a great time in Maui and hopefully you followed my adventures on my Facebook page, Monica, Your Travel Gal. We had a great NORTHEND meeting this week and it is great to see everyone ready to take on the new year. Please be sure to RSVP for our next EASTSIDE meeting with Kristina. I won't be able to attend that meeting because I have a travel industry event to attend. I love getting educated on various destinations and next week I will be learning about Asia and Europe at two separate events. Happy New Year!

I am back from my extended vacation and vow renewal. It was very hard to leave Maui and come back to the frozen north. There were so many memories made and quality time spent with the Swedish side of our family. Our kids had so much fun playing with all their cousins. We are looking forward to visiting them again this winter. What a change in weather for next Christmas!
