Discover the chef in you! MORE INFO & NEWS VENUE UPDATES The venue at Shawn O'Donnell's has some changes coming up in the new year. Starting in January, the cost for the buffet will now be $18 and that includes your meal, dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. They also will no longer be able to accommodate us ordering off the regular menu unless it is a dietary necessity. We will now have a standard meal at every meeting which will be a salad bar with grilled chicken. You will be able to build your own meal and there will be a pasta salad, fruit salad and cookies as well. I had very good feedback from our last meeting so please let me know if this will be an issue for anyone moving forward. Please support our venue by purchasing the buffet when you attend! We had a suggestion offered at the meeting in December and that was to change the menu for the buffet every quarter and I decided that was a great idea. I will draw a name from one of the members who have paid their dues on Meetup and they will get to pick the dinner selection in March! You will have until Feb 28th to pay your dues and be entered into this drawing! MEMBER OF THE MONTH In order to utilize our website more, I have decided to offer a "Member of the Month" featured article. You provide me with an article about you and your business that we can publish on our website. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and will remain on the site indefinitely. NORTHEND SPECIAL SPEAKER Our next speaker is Nikki Rausch The Sales Maven who will speak to us on Mar 13th, 2017 about "Buying Signals". I had an overwhelming response to extend the time we give our speakers and everyone wanted to hear more from Nikki. At our next speaker event, we will do brief 15 second commercials in order to give them more time to give their presentation! Do you have someone to recommend or a topic that you want to hear about? Let us know!  ADVENTURE OUTINGS Kim and Stephanie have stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. PLANNED: Whodunnit Murder Mystery on Feb 4th @ 3:30pm at the Pocket Theater in Greenwood. It's a 1.5 hour show that is an interactive murder mystery. It is spoofing the popular television show Downton Abbey. Please RSVP on Meetup! Also, we took an informal poll at one of our NORTHEND meetings about who is interested in taking a self-defense class. We had a lot of interest so let us know if this is something you are interested in as well. Our next door neighbors at Active Martial Arts (Monica's daughter takes classes there) would love to put something together for us so we are just waiting to hear when and how much it will cost. We will be a pilot program for them so we just have to wait for them to get an instructor set up to help us out. Would you like to take a self defense class? SPOTLIGHT TABLES - NORTHEND To have a table, you must have attended a meeting within the last 3 months. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $25 or $10 if you are a PAID MEMBER. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. We meet at the Family Pancake House in Redmond and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. There will be 1 Spotlight Table at each meeting until attendance supports an additional one. The tables are $10 and you must attend a meeting to sign up. Kristina also plans on drawing for a free 3-minute commercial (Spotlight tables get 7 minutes and regular commercials are 1.5 minutes) so make sure you attend and get the lowdown on everything she has planned.
