Good thing I remembered in time to send this out still! So, yes I am gone for tomorrow's meeting but Stephanie Larsen is running the meeting and you will be in good hands with her. I have been toying with the idea of getting rid of our Facebook page and turning it into a Facebook Group instead. It will take a bit of work to get it set up and running as I need some volunteers to help me admin/moderate the group but I think it will be more community building and easier to share things between the members. Scott - Priced Right The First Time!   MORE INFO & NEWS VENUE UPDATES NORTHEND The venue at Shawn O'Donnell's has some changes coming up in the new year. Starting in January, the cost for the buffet will now be $18 and that includes your meal, dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. They also will no longer be able to accommodate us ordering off the regular menu unless it is a dietary necessity. We will now have a standard meal at every meeting which will be a salad bar with grilled chicken. You will be able to build your own meal and there will be a pasta salad, fruit salad and cookies as well. I had very good feedback from our last meeting so please let me know if this will be an issue for anyone moving forward. Please support our venue by purchasing the buffet when you attend! We had a suggestion offered at the meeting in December and that was to change the menu for the buffet every quarter. AMY LINDSAY-EELLS was our winner for the first drawing! I will select another winner from the people who have paid their dues through May 8th at our Anniversary party. EASTSIDE Starting on March 7, we will be meeting at Café Veloce in Kirkland, just off of I-405 in Totem Lake. It is just off Totem Lake Boulevard, so hopefully will be very easy to come to. SAVE THE DATE - BUNCO ANNIVERSARY PARTY We just celebrated our 7th anniversary as Heart to Heart Networking and to celebrate, we are hosting a special networking meeting of brief introductions and then we will be playing bunco! We had a great response to last year's event that we decided to make it an annual event. You don't need to know how to play as we can teach you when you show up. It will be on a regularly scheduled NORTHEND meeting date of Monday May 8th @ 6:30pm. We will still have the buffet so please plan on purchasing dinner at this meeting. There is no cost to attend other than the buffet dinner as usual. If a member attends who hasn't paid their yearly dues, there will be a $5 cost for this meeting. We will give out cash prizes and some other goodies so make sure to attend! RSVP for Bunco Anniversary Party! NORTHEND SPECIAL SPEAKER Coming up next is Linda Deppa with Uncluttered Professional Organizing on June 12, 2017. She does personal and business organizing plus families too. Please let us know what organizing topics you want to hear her speak about the most. Finally, our last speaker scheduled for this year is Morgan Oaks (aka Dr. Mo) with An Evolution in Chiropractic on Oct 23, 2017. He recently had a TedX talk about "Learning the Language of Dude" where he shared his life story and experiences and how it allowed him to listen more deeply to himself and the world around him. We are still working out the details of the exact subject of his presentation so stay tuned! Do you have someone to recommend or a topic that you want to hear about? Let us know!  ADVENTURE OUTINGS Kim and Stephanie have stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. We took an informal poll at one of our NORTHEND meetings about who is interested in taking a self-defense class. We had a lot of interest so let us know if this is something you are interested in as well. Our next door neighbors at Active Martial Arts (Monica's daughter takes classes there) would love to put something together for us so we are just waiting to hear when and how much it will cost. We will be a pilot program for them so we just have to wait for them to get an instructor set up to help us out. Would you like to take a self defense class? SPOTLIGHT TABLES - NORTHEND To have a table, you must have attended a meeting within the last 3 months. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $25 or $10 if you are a PAID MEMBER. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. We meet at Cafe Veloce in Kirkland and and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. There are no Spotlight Tables until we get enough people attending each meeting. Right now, we have plenty of time to give everyone 2-3 minutes to talk about their business and have a roundtable discussion focused on a business topic.
