REMINDER: Heart to Heart on Dec 12th - HOLIDAY PARTY View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Reminder December 12, 2016 - HOLIDAY PARTY Hi Monica, Don't forget to bring a gift wrapped white elephant item for our gift exchange. Please don't buy anything and instead find something in your home that you no longer want or need. It can be funny, silly, useless, whatever. If you have to buy something, please don't spend more than $10 on the item. It is a really fun event and I have a special surprise for everyone who attends so if you don't RSVP, there will be no surprise! I forgot to mention that our venue at Shawn O'Donnell's has some changes coming up in the new year. Starting in January, the cost for the buffet will now be $18 and that includes your meal, dessert, a non-alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. They also will no longer be able to accommodate us ordering off the regular menu unless it is a dietary necessity. We will now have a standard meal at every meeting which will be a salad bar with grilled chicken. You will be able to build your own meal and there will be a pasta salad, fruit salad and cookies as well. I had very good feedback from our last meeting so please let me know if this will be an issue for anyone moving forward. Please support our venue by purchasing the buffet when you attend! We had a suggestion offered at the last meeting and that was to change the menu for the buffet every quarter and I decided that was a great idea. I will draw a name from one of our paying members to pick the dinner selection in March! We will be hosting our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange Holiday Party on Monday Dec 12th, 2016! It will be a regular meeting date but we will forgo our usual meeting format for a fun holiday party. Please bring a funny or unusual gift to this meeting. Please do NOT buy anything! You must bring something from your home that you want to get rid of. If you need ideas, please ask! We will start with very brief 15 second introductions, then draw numbers to pick presents and most of the meeting will be spent opening and stealing gifts.  NO MEETINGS We will NOT have a meeting for the Eastside group on Tuesday Dec 20th and we will NOT have a meeting for the Northend group on Monday Dec 26th. Monica and Kristina will be out of town for both of these dates and we figured people will want to spend time with their families for the holidays. We will resume our normal meeting schedule after the first of the year.  MEMBER OF THE MONTH We are not using our website as much as we should so I would love to offer a "Member of the Month" where you will provide me with a blog post (article about your business) that we can put on our website. You will have the chance to highlight your business and tell us more about what you sell/offer. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO and will remain on the site indefinitely. After that we will welcome back Nikki Rausch The Sales Maven who will speak to us on Mar 13th, 2017 about "Buying Signals". I had an overwhelming response to extend the time we give our speakers and everyone wanted to hear more from Nikki. At our next speaker event, we will do brief 15 second commercials in order to give them more time to give their presentation! Do you have someone to recommend or a topic that you want to hear about? Let us know!  ADVENTURE OUTINGS Kim and Stephanie have stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. We have decided on Sun Jan 8th @ 1:30pm for our Sound of Music Sing-A-Long. Feel free to invite a friend to join us! We need to pre-purchase tickets and will need a minimum of 10 people to attend.  RSVP for Adventure Outing on Meetup SPOTLIGHT TABLES - NORTHEND To have a table, you must have attended a meeting within the last 3 months. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $25 or $10 if you are a PAID MEMBER. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. We meet at the Family Pancake House in Redmond and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. There will be 1 Spotlight Table at each meeting until attendance supports an additional one. The tables are $10 and you must attend a meeting to sign up.
