Heart to Heart Happenings Dec 2016 View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Happenings December 2016 Hi Monica, Lots of people are planning their travel so I am ending my month really strong and it makes it easier to take time off for the holidays. Usually, December is a slow time of year for me and then things pick up again after the holidays. I am getting ready to close my business from Dec 15th to Jan 6th so I can take a much needed and necessary holiday with my family about about 30 friends and family as well. It is a vacation and my husband and I are renewing our vows on Maui to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Just a few reminders... RSVP for our next Adventure Outing in January!  I enabled the membership dues on Meetup because people kept asking me how to pay. There are benefits of membership so read about the Membership Dues & Perks information on our website.  Don't forget to come to our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange on Dec 12th! Finally, we need some feedback from the Eastside members. Attendance has been lacking and we have had several no shows recently which means our usual number of 12 attending dip as low as 2 some nights. Is there a reason for this? Location? Traffic? Day we have the meeting? We might have to scale back to once a month if attendance continues to be so low. It will be a regular meeting date but we will forgo our usual meeting format for a fun holiday party. Please bring a funny or unusual gift to this meeting. Please do NOT buy anything! You must bring something from your home that you want to get rid of. If you need ideas, please ask! We will start with very brief 15 second introductions, then draw numbers to pick presents and most of the meeting will be spent opening and stealing gifts. The Eastside group will be doing their own holiday party on Dec 6th but please contact Kristina as to what she has planned for that meeting.  NO MEETINGS We will NOT have a meeting for the Eastside group on Tuesday Dec 20th and we will NOT have a meeting for the Northend group on Monday Dec 26th. Monica and Kristina will be out of town for both of these dates and we figured people will want to spend time with their families for the holidays. We will resume our normal meeting schedule after the first of the year.  MEMBER OF THE MONTH We are not using our website as much as we should so I would love to offer a "Member of the Month" where you will provide me with a blog post (article about your business) that we can put on our website. You will have the chance to highlight your business and tell us more about what you sell/offer. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO and will remain on the site indefinitely. After that we will welcome back Nikki Rausch The Sales Maven who will speak to us on Mar 13th, 2017 about "Buying Signals". I had an overwhelming response to extend the time we give our speakers and everyone wanted to hear more from Nikki. At our next speaker event, we will do brief 15 second commercials in order to give them more time to give their presentation! Do you have someone to recommend or a topic that you want to hear about? Let us know!  ADVENTURE OUTINGS Kim and Stephanie have stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. We have decided on Sun Jan 8th @ 1:30pm for our Sound of Music Sing-A-Long. Feel free to invite a friend to join us! We need to pre-purchase tickets and will need a minimum of 10 people to attend.   RSVP on Meetup SPOTLIGHT TABLES - NORTHEND To have a table, you must have attended a meeting within the last 3 months. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $25 or $10 if you are a PAID MEMBER. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. Payment will be required within one week or your spot will be cancelled and opened up to someone else. Here is the schedule for the upcoming months:  12/12/16 - HOLIDAY PARTY - NO SPOTLIGHT TABLES 12/26/16 - NO MEETING - HAPPY HOLIDAYS! 1/9/17 - Kim with Katrina Eileen Realty and Laura with Key Oils 1/23/17 - SPEAKER - NICOLE LUX RITCHIE 1/9/17 - OPEN and OPEN  1/9/17 - OPEN  and OPEN  SPOTLIGHT TABLES - EASTSIDE We have our Eastside meetings every 1st & 3rd Tuesday. We meet at the Family Pancake House in Redmond and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. There will be 1 Spotlight Table at each meeting until attendance supports an additional one. The tables are $10 and you must attend a meeting to sign up.
