Hi Monica,
We had a great meeting with Nikki Rausch on 8/22 and I got a lot of great feedback from the people who attended. This is the final call to ask our attendees to fill out a short survey to rate our speaker. It gives me great feedback that I can use to plan for the next speaker. The survey is anonymous!
Again, if you are interested in helping out with some administrative tasks of this group, please review this list of tasks and the instructions how each task should be completed. There are names listed next to the task and that is the current task owner but we would like more people to sign up so we can have a backup in case someone is sick or out of town. I would like to hire within the group as it will be a lot cheaper than if I have to hire outside the group. I have money that I can spend on this but I won't have enough reserves to pay people long term so there will be changes to the cost of the Spotlight Tables, Meetup Advertising, and some new opportunities as well. Please read all the details below.
Finally, some news about our Eastside chapter from Kristina!
"Something new is coming! H2H Eastside will be moving to Tuesdays! Starting in September we will meet TWICE a month. We will have our last Thursday meeting on the 1st, and then meet on Tuesday September 20. That's right, come and network with the most amazing women twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Canyons in Remond. Plenty of parking, plenty of laughing, and plenty of networking. Thanks Kim Pelham for hosting on September 1. ~Kristina~"

MEETUP ADVERTISING
You might have noticed above some new ads in our email. I am experimenting with highlighting our Meetup Sponsors and giving them greater exposure. I noticed that the ads only show up on the desktop version of Meetup and I think most people use the app or the mobile version in a web browser which means these ads are probably not seen as much as I had hoped.
I will raise the prices for our next round of Meetup Sponsors because every month I will highlight two businesses that also have ads on our Meetup website. Starting in November, the Meetup Sponsors will increase from $35 to $49 for a 6 month advertising run. That works out to be a little over $8/month so it is still very reasonable advertising for your business. I will accept 6 sponsors for this offer. That means you will have at least two months where your ad will appear in our emails. These emails also get published to our Facebook page and website so there will be more chances for people to see your ads. Contact me if you are interested in this offer!
SPOTLIGHT TABLES
I will also be increasing the price of our Spotlight Tables where you get 7 minutes to present about your business and you can also set up a table to display/sell your products/services. Starting in November, the price will increase from $20 to $25 per table.
MEMBER OF THE MONTH
This is a new offer that I would like to start in November as well. Perhaps earlier if people respond to it and get me their content quickly. We are not using our website as much as we should so I would love to offer a "Member of the Month" where you will pay $49 and you will provide me with a blog post that we can put on our website. You will have the chance to highlight your business and tell us more about what you sell/offer. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO and will remain on the site indefinitely. Your blog post will also be shared on Facebook and highlighted in our monthly newsletter as well. As an introductory offer, I will take the first 3 people for just $35! You can see my post for an example of what I am talking about.
SPECIAL SPEAKER
Here are the upcoming speakers on our calendar so SAVE THE DATE! The last speaker we will have this year is Nicole Lux Ritchie with Luxcentric on Oct 24th and her talk is about "Inbox Zero".
EASTSIDE CHAPTER
For our Eastside chapter, we will meet every 1st & 3rd Tuesday at Canyons in Redmond and Kristina McCrady is leading that group. PLEASE NOTE: We are keeping the 1st Thursday in September as we already have people committed to attending.
There will be 1 Spotlight Table at each meeting until attendance supports an additional one. The tables are $10 and you must attend a meeting to sign up. Kristina also plans on drawing for a free 3-minute commercial (Spotlight tables get 7 minutes and regular commercials are 1.5 minutes) so make sure you attend and get the lowdown on everything she has planned.
MONTHLY ADVENTURE OUTINGS
Kim and Stephanie have also stepped up to lead a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we plan to meet and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event. Some ideas that we have been tossing around were karaoke, a mani/pedi day at the spa, wine tasting, solve a puzzle room, etc. Send your ideas of fun activities to do to Kim or Stephanie. |

SPOTLIGHT TABLES - NORTHEND
To have a table, you must have attended a meeting within the last 3 months. You will get 7 minutes to present about your business and/or passion. The cost for a Spotlight Table is $20 but that will increase to $25 starting in November. Here is the schedule for the upcoming months:
