Well, well, well. Another late newsletter. I was supposed to send this out last month! One of these days I will be more regular. ;)
We have had several things decided at our meetings over the last few months. It is important to show up to our meetings because we are making decisions on items and the people who show up get to help decide!
I am still experimenting with our extra 8 mins for our meetings. I am trying to keep a rotating schedule for the DISCUSSION TOPICS. On the 2nd Monday we will alternate between a MEMBER LEAD TOPIC and LEADER LEAD TOPIC. Then on the 4th Monday we will have a 3rd Spotlight Table available.
Our next meeting we have a Speaker coming to help us Detangle Your Digital Office. It will now cost our paid members $5 to attend and guests $10 to attend. We need 3 more RSVPs to move forward and I will decide by Wed if that will happen or not.
I have planned a great event coming up on Sept 20th! I have booked a suite at the Storm game in Everett. It is a great way to network and get to know each other. Watching the game is optional. Let me know if there is another networking group we can partner with to maximize the event!
Finally, I have made some updates to our Facebook Group where we have split out the monthly dedicated posts. One will be for sharing events and a separate one for posting your latest sale or promotion. If you have more than 3 sales/promos posts, we encourage you to invite people to join your mailing list or FB group.

FEATURED MEMBER
Here is a great way to increase exposure for your business. It is like a digital business card that you can share with your network. You provide us with an article about you and your business and we will publish it on our website. You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and will remain on the site indefinitely.
Your article will be shared on Facebook, highlighted in our monthly newsletter and highlighted on the homepage of our website as well. You can participate by upgrading your membership and it costs just $55/year! A free revision comes with each year that you renew.

NEW CHANGES & UPDATES
We have some changes recently so here is a quick summary of what is going on:
- No more Vegas drawing at our meetings! Instead we offer a 20% discount on your Travel Consultation Fee. (only for paid members)
- There will be a $5 cost to attend special meetings like our Anniversary Party, Holiday Party and when we have Speakers. If you are a paid member, your entry is free if you RSVP at least a week in advance!
- We trimmed down the H2H Introduction at the start of every meeting so we have some extra time that we are experimenting with.
- Text message reminders are now being sent to our paid members to remind them to RSVP.
- If we don't get 20 RSVPs to our meetings 1 week before it starts, we will cancel the meeting. Please keep your contact information updated so we can communicate quickly!
- Everyone MUST purchase a food and/or beverage item from the venue if you are attending our meetings. EVEN IF YOU DON'T EAT OR DRINK! ($5 minimum)

MEMBER APP
Did you know there is a mobile app that you can download and install on your phone that might make it easier for people. There are various things you can do with the app like:
- Viewing/editing your profile (it will show when you are due for renewal)
- Contact other members (if they made their info available to see)
- See list of events
- RSVP/Pay for events
- See the list of events you have RSVP'd to
- MORE!

VENUE UPDATES
The cost of our buffet is now $18 which includes tax and tip but tipping extra is very helpful especially if we do not get 25 people attending our meetings. It will be a requirement that you purchase food and/or beverage EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT EATING OR DRINKING. We need to have everyone purchase something to cover the costs of using the meeting space. You can purchase the buffet or a soft drink, wine, beer, or tea but the minimum purchase is $5.
If we cannot get at least 20 RSVPs to each meeting on our website one week prior, I will have to cancel the meeting. We usually get at least 20 attending the meetings but sometimes we don't and we can no longer afford to hold a meeting with less than 20 attendees. This means we will might need to cut our meetings to once a month during the summer as our attendance typically is low during that time of year.

ADVENTURE OUTINGS
Kim and Stephanie had a great idea to offer a fun event outside of our meetings for about $30-40 per person. The idea was to do it monthly but they don't have time to plan fun events on a regular basis for our group. They will still organize an event if they think enough people are interested. Having more people to help organize is key!
In the meantime, I have decided to add more bunco nights to our calendar! The goal is to have 4 per year with one of those being our Anniversary Party. At the Anniversary Party, it will be the only one that paid members can play for free as it is my way of thanking those of you who support our group. I just can't afford to do that multiple times a year. ;)
All other Bunco Nights will cost $5 in advance or $10 if your RSVP less than a week ahead. There is still the expectation to purchase food and drinks so overall budget for about $25 for a night of fun and laughter.
The idea is to try for a Wednesday/Thursday between the two Monday meetings of the month. Right now the dates are Wed April 22 (Shawn's & Anniversary Party), Wed Aug 19 (Shawn's) and Wed Nov 18 (Shawn's).
Secret Travel Society is on hold until Andrea is back to help me organize our events.
