Hip, hip, horray for hiring an assistant! Now, I just hope to get these out a little sooner. My goal is to have the reminder go out about a week before the next meeting and right now it is less than that. Maybe that isn't a bad thing so let me know how early I should send the reminders go out. I have Deb Everhart helping me with managing the Spotlight tables so thank you again for your assistance. If you want to sign up for a table, you will have to go online and sign up for a table. Payment will be required within two weeks or your spot will be cancelled and opened up to someone else. Deb will monitor who signs up and make sure we don't have any conflicts or it is someone who hasn't attended a meeting before. Finally, this is a test to see if you are actually reading the email all the way through. :) I sent out a request for our members to vote on a meeting location for our holiday party. REMINDER: Heart to Heart on Sep 20th View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Reminder Sep 20, 2016 Hi Monica, Well, our last meeting at the Northend location was a bit of a surprise. I probably screwed up but this is what happens when people don't communicate in writing with me. Our meeting room was double booked so we had to have our meeting upstairs in the main restaurant. We made lemonade out of lemons and I was actually really pleased with how it turned out. It was too loud to have Spotlight Tables or our regular 1 minute commercials so we just had focused discussions at each of our tables to find out more about each other's business. Because of this little mistake, I had to reschedule our speakers because otherwise I would have had to have our Spotlight Tables pushed out until after the new year. Please see the schedule below for the updates. There are also going to be some changes with the Spotlight Tables. First, I have Deb Everhart helping me with managing this task. We had 12 people attend that meeting and it was nice to have a smaller group to get to know one another better. I am looking forward to having this meeting move to the same twice a month format as the Northend meeting and building our attendance as well. Heart to Heart Happens - Sep 2016 View this email in your browser Heart to Heart Happenings Sep 2016 Hi Monica, We had a great meeting with Nikki Rausch on 8/22 and I got a lot of great feedback from the people who attended. This is the final call to ask our attendees to fill out a short survey to rate our speaker. It gives me great feedback that I can use to plan for the next speaker. The survey is anonymous! Again, if you are interested in helping out with some administrative tasks of this group, please review this list of tasks and the instructions how each task should be completed. There are names listed next to the task and that is the current task owner but we would like more people to sign up so we can have a backup in case someone is sick or out of town. I would like to hire within the group as it will be a lot cheaper than if I have to hire outside the group. I have money that I can spend on this but I won't have enough reserves to pay people long term so there will be changes to the cost of the Spotlight Tables, Meetup Advertising, and some new opportunities as well. Please read all the details below. Finally, some news about our Eastside chapter from Kristina! "Something new is coming! H2H Eastside will be moving to Tuesdays! Starting in September we will meet TWICE a month. We will have our last Thursday meeting on the 1st, and then meet on Tuesday September 20. That's right, come and network with the most amazing women twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Canyons in Remond.
