VENUE UPDATES
We had a suggestion offered to us and that was to change the menu for the buffet every quarter. I have selected another winner from the people who have paid their dues through June 30th. Nancy Hough was our winner and she has selected a HOLIDAY MENU which includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, and salad. If you have and issues with this menu, you can order from the regular restaurant menu but please allow for extra time for this.
I will select another winner after the end of the year for the next menu update.
MEMBER LEVEL CHANGES
The free membership (H2H Free Member) will now have some restrictions. It will renew (for free) every 6 months so people will have to log into their account and click a button to renew. It will also force people to fill out their profile. If someone doesn't renew, then I will archive that account so I don't have to pay for it anymore. I have also removed the directory listing on our website for the free members. This feature is now only for people who pay dues.
Also, I have added a new membership level called "H2H Featured Member". If you want to be a
Featured Member on our website, it will now be required to have this upgraded membership. You will get one major revision or rewrite of your article per year. This perk used to be a one time cost of $20 to advertise your business on our website for an indefinite amount of time. It really was a steal!
I decided this should be a paid member perk and it should be a cost that is collected every year. This means the upgraded membership is now $55/yr ($35/yr for the regular membership plus the Featured Member article at $20/yr). There will be no more monthly invites to attend the virtual event to become a Featured Member. You will have to
upgrade your membership instead. I am working with the current featured members to get them upgraded to the new membership level or their current article will be archived.
SPOTLIGHT TABLE CHANGES
Starting in 2019, I will increase the cost of the Spotlight Tables. They will cost $20 and you will get 8 minutes (an extra minute) to share about your business. Also starting in 2019, this perk will only be available to members who pay their dues.
SPECIAL EVENT CHARGES
When we have special events (like our holiday and anniversary parties) we will charge any guests/non-members $5 to attend these meetings. This is a new change for our upcoming
Holiday Party on Jan 14th so please be aware of this. I usually have a small gift for everyone who attends and this comes out of our dues so it is only fair to charge non-members. Guests can pay $5 cash at the door or $5.50 online to cover the credit card fees.
We have been doing this for our anniversary party when we play bunco so there will be no change to those special meetings.
I will consider charging a similar non-member fee when we have speakers come in as we are also paying the speaker a small honorarium. I haven't decided if this will be implemented or not so your feedback is welcome.
NEW MEMBERSHIP CARD
I am not sure what to think of this but I have enabled a new feature that was released with our website. I figured it could be fun and sort of interesting so I would love your feedback. If you access your profile on the website, you will now be able to view and download your membership card. It looks like this!
NEW MOBILE APP
This new website feature is one I think people will find more useful. There is a mobile app called "Wild Apricot for Members" that can be downloaded and it is available for both
iPhone and
Android.

- View an event calendar and event details
- Add an event to your mobile device calendar
- Register for an event and pay the registration fee
- Specify the number of guests (if the registration type was set up to collect the total number of guests only)
- View your existing event registrations
- Pay an outstanding event registration fee
- View your own member profile
- View your membership card
What can't you do with the member app?
- Delete existing event registrations
- Update your member profile
- Sign up for events using registration types that require a registration code

You can use 500-1200 words, up to 5 images, and unlimited text links. Content is subject to approval. This is great for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and will remain on the site as long as you are current on your membership dues.

ADVENTURE OUTINGS
This fun idea will now be taken over by the
Secret Travel Society! Kim and Stephanie had a great idea but they don't have time to plan fun events for our group. The idea was to have a monthly H2H Adventure Outing where we meet up and spend $30-40 per person on a fun activity or event.
There is a new
Adventure Outing on Dec 1st in Everett to see a rock violinist perform. The cost is under $40 and you will need to contact Stephanie to work out your payment information. They may have already bought tickets for the group but if you are interested in joining them, please

Secret Travel Society calendar. We have a free membership that you can join for limited access to our social calendar or you can pay a small fee to be a VIP member which has full access to the calendar plus special MEMBER ONLY perks, gifts, discounts and more.
